Cleveland Wedding Photographers in Cleveland at St. John’s Cathedral and Silver Lake Country Club

Amy and Mike had a marvelous wedding at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in downtown Cleveland. We could have spent all day gazing at the architecture and artwork! The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist gave Amy and Mike such a timeless feel for their wedding day!

Mike and Amy fit together so well! We had such a blast this past winter getting to know them and learning about them as a couple while we photographed their engagement photos near Patterson’s Fruit Farm in Chesterland, Ohio. For their wedding, it was wonderful to see their vision of their day play out as they united their lives together.

Amy had a beautiful bride glow from the moment we saw her in the morning. She and her girls were having a great time getting hair and make-up done, enjoying the excitement and anticipation the day held. It was great to see all of the supportive friends and family for Amy!

During the ceremony at the Cathedral, Amy looked gorgeous as she walked down the long aisle under the stunning vaulted ceiling. It felt like stepping outside of the present into a timeless space. Amy and Mike’s smiles and love for each other couldn’t have been more apparent. It was a pleasure to watch them joyfully commit their lives to each other.

We had the opportunity to go to several locations for photography. At St. Ignatius in Cleveland - where Mike went to school - we had a blast with all the brick buildings. At Edgewater, the bridal party went crazy with the wind - freaking A LOT of wind, you’ll see it in the photos - and the Cleveland sign. I mean, who doesn’t want a crazy photo at the Cleveland sign?? Especially when the wind is blowing you over and your photographers are wearing winter jackets in May. At Lock 29 in Peninsula, Amy and Mike shared some intimate looks and moments amidst the Cuyahoga River and the beautiful nature within Cuyahoga Valley National Park. All told, Amy and Mike’s photography told a beautiful story of their wedding day, their history, and their shared interests.

The reception was held at Silverlake Country Club, in Silverlake, Ohio. The huge windows and outdoor deck overlooking the golf course made for an open, airy, elegant reception. We loved the retro arches! Guests could sip drinks and talk inside, putt on the golf course, play a variety of outdoor games, and dance to their heart’s content. It was a blast for everyone, especially the bride and groom! They were rocking on the dance floor! Mike broke loose to his crew’s tradition wedding dance, the WOP!

All told, Amy and Mike had a terrific day! We wish you the very best on your next adventure together!
