Melissa and Patrick had a beautiful winter wedding at the Lake Forest Country Club in Hudson with photography in Cuyahoga Valley National Park! They are such a sweet couple and it was truly an honor to be their wedding photographers and videographers!
Patrick and Melissa met in high school. They knew each other, but it wasn’t until they went on a field trip to Hale Farm and Village that the stars aligned. The field trip was a Christmas lantern tour of Hale Farm and they quickly learned that they got along very well. After that day, they started talking and getting to know one another better. It was a very slow process, as they were both too shy to strike up a conversation with the other person at school. It wasn’t until Patrick took the BIG step and gave Melissa a beautiful handmade snow globe for Christmas that the sparks really flew!
A few weeks later, Patrick called Melissa’s parents and asked if he could take her out on a date. The day after her 16th birthday was the big day! They went to Panera on their lunch break at school and has the most wonderful time. And the rest is history…they have been laughing and adventuring together ever since!!
The morning of their wedding started with getting ready photography at Lake Forest Country Club. Lake Forest has such a stately and elegant country club feel, with rich wood and high ceilings. We knew that wedding photography for the day was going to be a joy!
Both Melissa and Patrick were excited to be getting married on their wedding morning, if a little quiet!
Once the ceremony started, time started to fly! Melissa and Patrick had a simple and sweet wedding ceremony officiated by their pastor. It was heartfelt and precious to watch and photograph as they committed their lives together!
Following the ceremony, we ran over to Cuyahoga Valley National Park for some photographs in the freshly fallen snow. It was a cold February day for wedding photography, but Patrick and Melissa rocked the cold and got some great photos!
We then headed back to Lake Forest Country Club for a great reception. Over a great meal and fun dancing, Melissa and Patrick’s friends and family celebrated the night away!
