Landoll’s Mohican Castle Wedding Photography in the Beautiful Fall

Kay and Jay are such a sweet couple and had a delightful wedding at Landoll’s Mohican Castle, about halfway between Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio. We were thrilled to be able to capture their wedding photography on their wedding day!

Kay and Jay met when Kay asked to pet Jay’s parents’ dog while outside the Ohio Union in May of 2016. Surprisingly, Jay greeted her by name, and it took Kay a few minutes to put together that they had a large number of mutual friends in an engineering fraternity. They ran into each other a few other times at fraternity events throughout the rest of the year, but didn’t really start to get to know each other until that December.

Jay asked Kay if she wanted to go to a New Years’ Eve party with him and his roommate, and while they did go, they left fifteen minutes until midnight (turns out Jay was too nervous to go for a New Year’s kiss). He found the courage the next day when he asked Kay to go on a date and they have been going strong ever since.

Jay has been Kay’s rock while she finished up undergrad, and as she has been working full time while studying for CPA exams. Whenever they can catch a break in their schedules, they like to go on hikes, or try to get their cat Alphie to go on a walk with them, although that has only been successful once, haha!

Kay and Jay’s wedding day began with hair and makeup for the girls. They had a good time together as they got ready.

We then did a first look with Kay and Jay. Landoll’s Mohican Castle has so many great locations for couples to enjoy (and to take great pictures at!!). Kay and Jay were super excited to see each other and to get to be together on their wedding.

After going around the castle for formal photography, everyone was ready for the actual wedding ceremony! Kay and Jay had a simple and sweet wedding ceremony that was just perfect for them!

The reception party followed, with lots of fund and laughter. All told, it was a fantastic day!
