First Looks are the Best!

first looks are one of our favorite parts of the wedding!

Some of you might not know what a first look is. A first look is a time before the ceremony where you and your soon-to-be spouse get to see each other for the first time in a special moment.

some really cool things happen in a first look!

In a first look, you get to experience the emotions of the wedding day in an intimate moment. You are looking spectacular and you get to see each other without a couple hundred people looking at you. I don’t know about you, I tend to put on my game face when I am in front of a crowd. Having a first look allows you and your best friend fully feel the joy and excitement as a couple.

First looks also give you a great pace for your wedding day. If you have your formal portraits before your ceremony, you can take more time to get the epic photos that you want!

Everyone tends to be more relaxed with the schedule and you often get to have a break for half an hour or forty-five minutes right before the ceremony.

Then, after the ceremony and family portraits, you can go right into your cocktail hour and reception. This gives you more time to be with the people you love!

how does a first look work?

Having husband-wife team makes it super easy for you!

Brian will take the groom off to an amazing location and get everything set up. Then I will get the bride and take her to her soon-to-be-husband. The groom will be facing away and the bride will come and tap him on the shoulder! That’s it!

Once the groom turns around, the moment is yours! You can talk, kiss, laugh, cry, spin, anything you want! Experience the amazingness of the day as a couple!

Once you are ready, we will guide you through formal portraits.

So, when you are crafting out your timeline, we highly recommend that you include a first look to smooth out your day!
