Lauren and Daniel flew in from San Francisco for a winter engagement session. It is always wonderful to get to know our couples and their personalities through an engagement session. When we show up for their wedding, it is like meeting up with friends! We started the shoot at Sagamore Hills. There had been a light dusting of snow the night before, which set the perfect winter scenery for photography. We then progressed to Cuyahoga Valley National Park, shooting around Brandywine Falls.

A few days before Dustin and I did some location scouting at the Sheraton and decided to use a private balcony over looking the falls and gorge of the Cuyahoga River. Their friends setup special lighting and photos help set the mood and memories. It was pouring the whole night as I waited outside for them (maybe like 10 minutes, but I was in my favorite Outdoor Research jacket). It was simply amazing! Hope to see you two soon!

Read MoreWe had a wonderful engagement shoot with Jennifer and Jimmy at the University of Akron. During the shoot, we got to learn all about Jimmy’s current research project as well as hearing what Jennifer was up to at the bank.
It was really fun watching Jennifer and Jimmy talk about their university days, as they met at the University of Akron. They would talk about different buildings they had stayed in or had classes in.

Kyna and Vince first laid eyes on each other in the summer of 2011. Their best friends were in a relationship and made the introduction. There was a connection, but Kyna lived in Columbus and Vince lived in Sandusky. As the summer progressed, they talked and saw each other sparingly.

Dave and Jess met on St. Patrick’s Day at the University of Dayton. Jess was in town visiting a friend while Dave was attending the university. They discovered that they both lived in Cleveland and so thought that they would see each other over the summer.
