I’ve heard it said that people come into our lives for a reason. Katie and Geoffrey may not have a tale as old as time, but they have been loving each other since they were high school sweethearts. They have loved and supported each other through the ups and downs of high school, college, figuring out who they are, and establishing themselves in their careers. If that’s not love, what is?

This wonderful couple had a fairy tale wedding at Landoll’s Mohican Castle in Loudonville, Ohio. It was full of bubbly laughter, joyous tears, commitment, with the loving support of friends and family. It was a delight to see Katie and Geoffrey’s personality expressed through the numerous references to musical theatre and to Game of Thrones.

The dreams that Katie dared to dream really did come true on Saturday. This perfect July day started out with the girls hanging out and getting ready. After Katie was fully dressed (with a smile) she was ready to go see Geoffrey for their intimate first look. Geoffrey was visibly moved when he saw his soon-to-be wife, expressing and feeling all his love for her.

Following their first look and portraits, Katie and Geoffrey were united in a simple ceremony. Complete with individually-written vows and a hand tying ceremony, it was clear that they learned the greatest thing: just to love and be loved in return.

The reception was a delight. For their first dance, they danced to “All I Ask of You” from Phantom of the Opera. The cake included the rose from Beauty and the Beast, and was made by one of their friends. For this couple, all’s well that ends better.

Of Katie and Geoffrey it can be said, they would rather spend one lifetime together, than face all the ages of the world alone. Here’s to the happy couple! Everyone deserves a chance to fly!
