Cleveland Wedding Photographers at Landoll’s Mohican Castle for a November Outdoor Wedding

Danielle and Matthew had a fairy tale fall wedding at Landoll’s Mohican Castle! Pure joy and happiness radiated from both of them all throughout the day. It is such a pleasure to be the wedding photographers for a couple so madly in love and so perfect for each other. From getting ready photography to night photography, it was a spectacular day!

Danielle and Matthew met while working at Target in Cincinnati. They had an instant connection, and dated in secret for about six months. When they got really serious, Matt had to quit and they decided they wanted to move to Cleveland. Matthew and Danielle moved to Willoughby and immersed themselves in family and friends while adjusting to their new jobs. They got engaged in Disney World at the Halloween event. It was a magical day!

They have now bought a house in Perry, Ohio, close to Danielle’s family. While there is a lot of work left to be done on it, they are excited to be doing it together!

Wedding photography started with getting ready photos in one of Landoll’s suites. The energy from all the girls was fun and relaxed. It was super fun to watch the little flower girls as they got their hair and make-up done with the bride. Danielle was very happy - excited to be with her girls and anticipating seeing Matt in a couple of hours.

While the ladies were finishing up, we headed up to photograph the guys getting ready. Matt was super excited for his day. He had thought that his brother was not going to be able to make it to his wedding because he was in the military. Everyone kept it a surprise and his brother had shown up the night before and was able to celebrate with Danielle and Matthew. The guys were hanging out and goofing off, generally enjoying each other’s company.

When we headed back to the girls to photograph Danielle putting on her dress and final touches, everyone was bubbly with excitement. The girls ooohed and ahhhed at Danielle’s wedding dress, which looked spectacular on her. For a wedding gift, all the girls had written letters and given photographs for a special scrap book for Danielle. She was overjoyed by the display of love from the women most important in her life.

Finally everyone was ready.

As wedding photographers, one of our favorite moments is the First Look with a couple. We took Matt and set him up in a great location and then went back to bring Danielle to her soon-to-be-husband. Landoll’s still had some beautiful fall color for us to capture in their photographs, with a gorgeous tree that had dropped a carpet of pink leaves.

We love being a fly-on-the wall as we photograph this intimate moment on a couple’s wedding day. Danielle and Matthew were so excited to be together and getting married.

Formal portraits for Danielle and Matthew’s wedding photograph was cold, but Danielle and Matthew were incredible at pushing through the chilly weather to get spectacular photographs. They were all smiles and love for each other as we took full advantage of what the castle had to offer!

Now it was time for the wedding ceremony!

What better way to start a wedding ceremony at Landoll’s Mohican Castle than with a bag piper? The music set the mood for bridal party and guests alike! Danielle and Matt had though ahead and provided blankets and heaters to help their guests be more comfortable for their wedding ceremony.

Danielle and Matthew pledged their lives together in a simple, sweet, and heartfelt ceremony.

After the wedding, everyone headed inside the reception hall for the party!

From the center pieces to the lighting, Danielle and Matthew did a splendid job at giving their reception a fairy tale feel for their wedding day. There was a simple motif of Beauty and the Beast, the completely fit with the atmosphere for a wedding at Landoll’s Mohican Castle.

Danielle and Matthew shared a lovely waltz for their first dance, laughed with speeches from friends and family, ate spectacular food prepared by Chef Kyle and the Landoll’s crew, and generally had a marvelous evening. It was a joy to be their photographers, a part of this extraordinary moment in their lives.

Danielle and Matthew: You are so good to each other and other people. You are a perfect fit for each other. We wish you all the best in your marriage together. It was a joy to be your wedding photographers on your wedding day!
