Alison + Mike's Adventure Elopement in Cuyahoga Valley National Park | Ohio Intimate Wedding Photographers

Alison and Mike had an absolutely perfect elopement in CVNP in Northeast Ohio. It called for rain, rain and more rain for their outdoor wedding ceremony. Not a drop happened for this adventurous couple! This couple wanted something epic and an amazing place for their intimate wedding ceremony. I recommended this spot and a few others in Cuyahoga Valley. We have a photographed a ton of weddings, elopements, engagements at the Ledges. What I love about this spot is that it has easy access, nice leaf canopy that is backlit in the evening, and the rocks and layering is… well it’s quite nice :) The was perfect for this adventurous couple.

Angela + Braden's Adventure Elopement Photography in Cuyahoga Valley National Park

Angela and Braden are a fun couple that wanted to do their wedding different. They wanted to elope :) Their plans were to get married in Los Vegas, but with earlier this year everything shutting down, they decided to keep it local in Northeast, Ohio. Years ago we photographed their family at Christmas and called us to see if we could make something epic for them. Absolutely!

They eloped in Cuyahoga Valley National Park among the amazing hemlock grove at the Ledges. The ledges are amazing and set the seen every well for this couple. We then headed over the Blue Hen Fall, another classic in CVNP.

Cindy + Tony's Backyard Intimate Barn Wedding | Columbus Wedding Photographers

Cindy and Tony’s wedding morning began cool and pleasant, with Cindy getting ready in their home and Tony getting ready in the barn. Cindy was explaining some of the history of her home - it began as a dairy farm. Cindy thought it was especially meaningful that she got to meet the original owners of the house and learn that they got married right in front of the fireplace in the home. Since Cindy and Tony acquired the property, they have been working exceptionally hard to restore the property and the barn. All of their hard work paid off - the place looked great and perfect for Cindy and Tony to commit their lives to each other.

Courtney + Mike's Cuyahoga Valley Engagement Portraits | Brecksville, Ohio Wedding Photographers

Maggie and Ryan had a great time in CVNP for their engagement session. We caught some of the very last spring wildflowers and tree blossoms. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is a fantastic place and it is so close to a huge urban center. Can we just applaud the leadership and staff at CVNP for keeping this beautiful place open in these not so beautiful times?! So many National Parks completely closed down, but our Park stayed open!

Ashley + Tim's Wild Flower Engagement Photography in CVNP | Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio Wedding Photographers

Ashley and Tim had a great time in Cuyahoga Valley National Park for their engagement photographs. We first started at the CVNP classic: Virginia Kendall Ledges. This is one of our favorite places in Cleveland. Speaking of Cleveland, this fun loving couple wanted to show of their love of their hometown with some CLE swag! We also headed to an amazing hidden area of bluebells.

The weather called for nice, dry conditions… but spring does bring showers at times. It is a very common question the couples ask about “what happen if it rains?” The most simple answer… umbrellas are your friend. The clear plastic, bubble umbrellas. Target sells really good ones for cheap. I mean, we beat the snot out of ours for years tumbling around in the trunk of our car and on wedding days. We get thousands of mileage out of them (pun intended). During and after rain, you get some of the nicest light and saturated colors.
